SEROCHECK™ TP DEVICE is a rapid, self-performing lateral flow immunoassay for the qualitative detection of IgG and IgM antibodies to Treponema pallidum (the causative agent of Syphilis) in human serum or plasma.

Principle:
The test is based on a modified TPHA (Treponema pallidum Hemagglutination Assay) using a double-antigen sandwich format.

• If antibodies to Treponema pallidum are present, they react with recombinant Treponema pallidum antigen conjugated with colloidal gold.

• These immune complexes are captured at the Test (T) region coated with recombinant Treponema pallidum antigen.

• A visible line indicates a positive result, while the Control (C) region (coated with rabbit globulin) confirms the test validity.
