PARABANK® DEVICE Rapid Test for Malaria Pan is a self-performing, rapid, qualitative immunoassay designed to detect Pan-specific parasite lactate dehydrogenase (pLDH) in whole blood. This highly sensitive device is especially developed to exclude infected blood from the blood supply, making it ideal for use in blood banks and transfusion centers to prevent transfusion-acquired malaria.

Principle:
The test is based on lateral flow immunochromatography, where Pan-specific pLDH in the blood binds with colloidal gold conjugates, producing a visible test line within 20 minutes.
