SYPHICHECK-WB® Device is a modified TPHA-based rapid immunochromatographic test designed for the qualitative detection of IgG and IgM antibodies to Treponema pallidum (the causative agent of Syphilis) in whole blood, serum, or plasma samples.

Principle:
The test uses a double-antigen sandwich format:

• Recombinant T. pallidum antigen conjugated with colloidal gold binds to anti-treponemal antibodies in the sample.

• These immune complexes migrate and are captured by recombinant T. pallidum antigen immobilized at the Test (T) line, producing a visible band if antibodies are present.

• The Control (C) line, coated with rabbit globulin, confirms test validity.

Performance:

• Sensitivity: 100% correlation with TPHA

• Specificity: Based on recombinant Treponemal antigens specific for IgG & IgM antibodies

• Assay Time: 15 minutes
