SEROCHECK™ TP DIPSTICK is a modified TPHA-based, rapid immunochromatographic dipstick test for the qualitative detection of Treponema pallidum specific IgG & IgM antibodies (causative agent of Syphilis) in human serum or plasma.

Principle:
The test uses a double-antigen sandwich lateral flow format:

• Recombinant Treponema pallidum antigen conjugated with colloidal gold binds to antibodies in the specimen (if present).

• These immune complexes migrate and are captured by recombinant Treponema pallidum antigen immobilized at the Test (T) region.

• A visible band indicates a positive result.

• The Control (C) region, coated with agglutinating sera for rabbit globulin, confirms the validity of the test.

• Specificity: 98%

• Assay Time: 15 minutes
