PARASCREEN® with Alcohol Swab & Blood Lancet – Rapid Test for Malaria (Pan/Pf) is a qualitative, self-performing immunoassay designed for the detection of Plasmodium falciparum specific histidine-rich protein-2 (Pf HRP-2) and Pan-specific pLDH antigens in whole blood.

This test enables differentiation between P. falciparum and other malarial species such as P. vivax, P. ovale, and P. malariae. It is also recommended for the follow-up of antimalarial therapy, making it highly valuable for hospitals, diagnostic labs, and field testing.

Principle:
A lateral flow immunochromatographic device with pre-dispensed colloidal gold conjugates ensures rapid and accurate detection.

Performance:

• Sensitivity: 100% (in correlation with microscopy)

• Specificity: 100% (Pf HRP-2 & Pan-specific pLDH)

• Assay Time: 20 minutes
